H.M.M.B.A. The Hotel Men's Mutual Benefit Association, which was an organization formed in Chicago in 1879 for leading hotel professionals in the United States. This book was written about the trip made from those businessmen. Invitations were sent to those leading men of the Association to visit Southern California which they all accepted. San Fransico was still cleaning up their city after the big earthquake so Southern California was the associations new destination. The author describes every city they visited in detail with photographs of their stops. Bound in brown cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, no owner's names or bookplates. A very nice sharp cornered copy.
