In two volumes: Volume I is the text volume with no pagination. Volume II: 335pp. illustrative volume. This first volume gives reference to those paintings in volume II. The plate volume reproduces most of the paintings studied in the Prado Museum's catalog of 17th century Flemish painting. Below each painting appears the Prad catalog number that corresponds to it, the title that has traditionally been given to it and the name of the author to whom it is attributed. A very useful set for the fine art collector or those simply interested in early art and artist. Bound in green cloth spine lettered in gilt, tiny sticker ghost to front free endpapers, in pictorial dust jackets, wear to spine ends and a small chip to upper edge of plate volume, rear flap of plate volume taped to rear pastedown. A very good set.
