Large-paper copy limited to 250 copies. The present copy is number 190. Two years prior to this volume, there was a privately printed volume which became exhausted among the author's friends. The demand since had been so persistent that he cosented to republish it. He added a few new poems in this new edition. 70pp., illustrated by E.H. Garrett, printed on rectos only. This would be Whittier's last work. Bound in vellum over boards stamped and ruled in gilt, spine lettering gilt, top edge gilt, others uncut. Minor finger soiling to spine. Near fine.
