He also coined the phrases "the pen is mightier than the sword", and "the almighty dollar" and others. He had been read more than Dickens. Bound by Root in 3/4 olive green Morocco over green cloth, raised bands with compartments lettered and decorated in gilt, top edges gilt, marbled endpapers, some darkening to spines, date at foot of vol. I has the 8 rubbed off. A very good set.
