Fifth edition revised and enlarged, half-title, portrait frontispiece, 278pp., (4) pp., illustrated, large folding map at rear. An unassuming tale of an old soldier who was an eyewitness of and actor in many of the scenes he attempts to describe. The author has incorporated many new facts and with several interesting and pertinent documents that have never before appeared in the English language, given with accuracy and detail. A very nice, clean copy bound in publisher's brown embossed cloth centrally stamped in gilt, spine lettered and decorated in gilt, yellow endpapers, and there are six numbers at the head of title page.
