The books of the army regulations were often reprinted because of new advances in the military regulations, other times reprinted because of deletions of old regulations no longer of use. These books were required by every soldier to have and study. Bound in full contemporary calf, nicely rebacked retaining original endpapers and decorated in gilt, red morocco spine label gilt, damp staining to first few leaves and last few leaves, wear to corners, previous owner's name plate and a blank armorial bookplate.
