Volume XXXII-Parts I and II. Part 1: Investigations in Astronomical Photography, 115pp. with vii full page plates following text the exception of Plate one which was used as a frontispiece. Part 2: Visual Observations of the Moon and Planets with its own title page dated 1900, iv, -317pp.with viii-xiv full page plates following text. The methods which the author describes have been employed in that part of the photographic work of the Observatory done under his immediate direction, and in many cases also in the work of other departments. A special application of these methods is described in Chapter II. which related to the Nebula of Orion. Chapter III, relating to the Moon, is largely occupied with visual observations made at Arequipa, Peru, but also gives the results of some photographic work. A very nice copy bound in full black morocco lettered in gilt, spine plain, corners only slightly bumped, previous owner's name dated 1940.
