half-title, engraved frontispiece, vignette title page, viii + 616 with textual illustrations. set up much like a dictionary; double columns and alphabetical, much related to birds, fish and other sport animals along with the tools needed for such sport; fishing poles, gun powder, traps, etc. Bound in 3/4 black polished calf over maroon cloth, early rebacking with maroon labels gilt, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, upper front corner shows some wear, inner hinges re-enforced. A very good copy.
