Here is his work in book form. He writes about the earlier trotters and about the horses bred by various families. During this period, America had surpassed all other nations of the world in many respects, but as he says probably none other than in the quality of its light harness horse. A handsome copy bound in brown pictorial gilt cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, wear to corners and only slight wear to spine ends, stain to upper board and a handful of pages with their bottom corners bent.
