London: Robert Barker and John Bill (Printers), 1830. Quarto. Item #022063
Black letter, double column. Title page before genealogies. [Herbert-430] The names Barker and Bill occur on both titles and in colophon. Distinct from the preceding edition. Wisd. xix. 22: "neither diddest thou..." Title page with a few marginal chips, occasional spots of foxing, trimmed a bit close just touching side notes of a few leaves (mostly versos) lacks map and four leaves of genealogies (pp. 17-20 and 25-28). Bound in full black morocco paneled in blind, gilt stamps to corners, raised bands with compartments lettered and decorated in gilt and blind, inner hinges have evidently been repaired attempting to match the marbled paper; however, the original marbled papers have been retained, all edges gilt. A very nice copy.
