The author presents the motions of the planetary orbs; the early astronomy with a supplementary chapter on the characteristics of the motions of our system; the physical constitution of the solar system : with a supplementary chapter on comets, and of the bodies that composed it along with glimpses of the unity of things such as gravitation. He also lends notes on Kepler's third law, eclipses and Bode's law of the distances. A very good copy bound in publisher's dark brown embossed cloth rubbed, spine lettered and ruled in gilt, wear to head, occasional spots of foxing, some scattered especially title page, near contemporary owner's name.
