French text. Third part, 42pp and 34pp. Supplement. The finest reprint of the 1864 edition measuring 46 cm (largest of the reprints) with the finest color lithographic reproductions. Besides textual illustrations, there are forty full page color illustrations including the map. The original 1864 edition was hand colored thus the publisher has used the finest laid paper and overseen the imagery to be as close as possible to the rare original edition. The last illustration in the volume is of Nice and here is shown in a special pastedown on the cover. Bound in rust color cloth with color illustration mounted to upper board within gilt frame, stamped and lettered in gilt. A fine copy.
