52 pages. One of the most thorough accounts of those who lived and died in the small hamlet of Stewartstown, New Hampshire. The author who loved his small village recorded every marriage showing not only the names of bride and groom but also of the clergyman or town officer who officiated at the marriage. Another records all the births and dates with the names of both parents. Finally, he records all the deaths, the date and age of the deceased (of which a large number are children who died days or months after birth). Bound in 3/4 maroon cloth over marbled paper covered boards, green floral endpapers. A very good copy.
