72p. Very scarce OCLC shows only the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian have copies in the U.S. (four in the Netherlands). Original light blue decorative cloth. Oblong Album format. All 114 color cards are present and hand mounted (these cards came with purchases of biscuits, the collector could not receive the album until his set was complete). Covers the period from ballooning to dirigibles to the beginning of aircraft carriers, the image here is of the HMS Glorious which by the lat 1920's was Britain's best aircraft carrier At the beginning of World War II it hunted the Graf Spee in the Indian Ocean but was recalled to support British operations in Norway. It was sunk by the Scharnhorst in the North Sea and went down with the loss of over 1,200 lives. Dutch text. A very good copy of an uncommon book bound in blue pictorial cloth lettered and decorated in dark blue some fading and soiling to board edges.
