Translated into English by Marc A. Beckwith and several others, 10 vol in 14 and complete with the large folio atlas volume. A marvelous production printed on quality watermarked paper, illustrated with many color-plates, many folding. Atlas volume contains reproductions in color of the original sea charts all on tabs. Originally published in a small 27 volume Italian edition to commemorate the five-hundredth anniversary of the discovery of America by Christopher Columbus in 1492, Nuova Raccolta Columbiana in the English edition is considered the definitive scholarly set. Here the set is complete in 10 volumes in 14 parts. Vol. VIII and X will be issued only in CD-rom format. Besides the important international scholars, it comprises all of Columbus' journals and reports, with maps and charts for an accurate historical and geographical reconstruction of his voyages; other works by writers who were contemporaries (or shortly thereafter his death), newly edited documents with updated research and some new insights on geographical aspects of his discoveries and personal vision of events and the vicissitudes of all four voyages. The English edition was translated under the direction of Ohio State and a team of American experts. The final two volumes will be published on CD-Rom. The volumes are as follows: I.
