Latin text. pp, index at front, 195 printed leaves, colophon dated 1556. Nicolas de Bohier was an important legal thinker and served as President of the Parliament of Paris. Here he deals with the contemporary consequences of both Roman and Canon Law. Bound in full vellum, spine lettering in brown ink, engraved pictorial paragraph letters, dampstaining to upper portion of first few leaves of the alphabetical index through to "O". minor worming holes through bottom margins, soiling to vellum with wear through to one corner. A very good copy.
