Indian Supply Train in Ute Pass, Colo.
Item #018138
Stereograph card circa 1879, photographer not identified but Charles Weitfle (1836-1921) and James Thomas Thurlow (1831-1878) as photographers took several images. The Ute Pass is in Summit County west of Colorado Spring and it was a major route for the Utes to get to the buffalo grounds east of the Rockies. A good copy probably distributed by Stewart photographers from an image no earlier than 1878 and possibly as late as 1885. Very scarce.
