Driscoll/Feb, 1, 1944./Arizona." 19pp., color frontispiece, illustrated, bound in a striking gilt decorated black morocco decorated with a central ship each corner with a treasure chest, decorated in an art deco stylized lines, pictorial gilt spine depicting a ship, stars and at head a treasure chest, pictorial gilt morocco turn ins depicting skull and cross bones as well as pirate hats with pistols below, yellow and gray decorative endpapers, top edge gilt, signed binding by Spink & Gabore Inc. who also inscribed the rear free endpaper "that books might live!"/Spink & Gabore, Inc./Bookbinders. A fine and handsome copy housed in a black lined cloth covered slipcase. The story of treasure, romance and bloody pirates. A lovely copy.
