Original Photograph of a Territorial Williams Arizona Fourth of July Celebration With Staged Gunfight

Item #016902

8 1/2" x 6" photograph circa 1905 during the 4th of July Celebration. Since the large general merchandise story of Jacob Saltzman had been sold to the Babbit Brothers in 1908, it wold place the scene here in the early 1900's. The scene was taken from the balcony of the Grand Canyon Hotel from which most parades and celerbations were taken. Early full size photographs of territorial Williams are uncommon. Both the fact and the myths surrounding the gunfight of the OK Corral already were items of fascination though that event had taken place at the opposite end of Arizona Territory.
