Journal of the Outdoor Life; the Anti-Tuberculosis Magazine (15 Issues, 1910-1913

New York: Anti-Tuberculosis Campaign. Good. Item #016684

an important group of the major magazine on the treatment of tuberculosis just after the beginning of the 20th Century--when there were no effective cures though pasteurization had limited some of the rapid spread of TB--the first immunization appeared in 1906 but was not used on humans until after World War I. Clearly the emphasis in this period was on open air, dry climates, Articles included George Sternberg's (V. VII, No, 11) "Housing of the Working Classes", and many by the experts of the day including medical, environmental and some of the social causes, often with photographs. A nice group all in good condition except Vol. VII, no. 12 (Health in the Southwest) with both covers detached but otherwise clean text throughout.
