Third edition of 1879 with restored notes which had been edited out of previous editions and here was printed by George Bell in the Bohn's Libraries editions. Edited by wife Isabel Burton with an Introduction By Stanley Lane Poole. Vol. I. xxx [1] 436p., +24, + [6] ads, with folding colored map, also this volume has a colored frontispiece of Arab Pilgrim; Volume II, 479p. +24+ [6] ads. Bound in original brown cloth, spine lettered in gilt. The Map is in very good condition with only a closed tear in margins extending less than 1/4" to the maps beginning. Tiny bookseller's plates in front endpapers of each volume of Henry Southeran who were as noted Booksellers to the King. Light wear to spine, spine ends and corners. A very good set.
