Limited to 500 copies. This copy inscribed by the author to historian Dale Nichols and from the library of Thomas A. Heinz, noted Frank L. Wright historian with his signature on the title page.155 pages with 5 Serigraphs by the Author prepared by Louie Ewing. Bound in turquoise cloth lettered in silver, spine lettering silver. A very nice copy in beige pictorial dust jacket lettered and illustrated in black, spine lettering black with chipping to spine ends and corners, four small chips out of front panel and a few chips to edge of rear panel. This book was produced from the private press of Hazel Dreis who built a successful business working in San Francisco with the Grabbhorn Press. She was a bookbinder and taught bookbinding which eventually took her to set up her own private press in Santa Fe with her long time friend and protégé Edward McLean. They both produced some of the most beautiful and interesting one of a kind bookbindings before they ventured into printing themselves. In a description by Heinz ...": Navajo sand paintings are the subject of this book. The author was a client of Wright in 1941 for an unbuilt project in Tucson. She and her husband were friends of Wright for many years in Oak Park and Scottsdale. Husband Rudolph Schevill died just before this book was published (1874-1946). There are several original works of art throughout the book in silkscreen method showing these sand paintings." A nice copy.
