Color frontispiece. 252pp., 132 pages illustrations. A collection of Ivories found by Layard in 1848 housed in the British museum. Barnett, who joined the museum in 1932, found the collection to consist of a far greater importance than anyone outside the museum had imagined. Bound in 1/4 brown cloth over pale blue paper covered boards, spine lettering gilt, some toning to rear board, a bit of finger soiling and one bumped corner, tape residue from old mylar cover, a very good copy of this important work.
