Volume I: 450 pages; Volume II: 616p.; Volume III 614p. The importance of these volumes is they cover the role of Free Masonry in both the Colonial period, the American Revolution, and the early Federalist period to 1860. Volume II has a number of Washington engravings whose Masonic membership was vital, p. 124 has a plate calling him the "god like Washington". There are 43 engravings with several regarding Washington and the house he lived in as President of the United States. A fourth volume was issued covering the period from the Civil War to 1892 and usually comes in a different binding. Bound in brown cloth centrally stamped in gilt, spine lettering and top edges gilt, uncut and unopened. A very good set with corners bumped light wear to spine ends.
