379p. the author was an Oklahoman who was there from the rush for land into Northwest Oklahoma, the days of ranches, and the discovery of oil. While written as fiction, it has the stamp of authenticity in detail and historical events. The photographs accompanying the text show life in Oklahoma in the early decades of the 20th century. A nice item both for ranching and life of a pioneer newspaper publisher (which Adams was as shown in one of the photographs). Bound in red cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, tape residue to front free endpaper, previous owner's name, a very good copy.
