The author discovered in 1967 this region about 80 km south of Luxor locating a series of well-stratified epipaleolithic campsites. Using Radiocarbon-dating they fit the area 6400-5980 BC; consequently, filling a gap in the prehistoric cultural sequence of Egypt between the Upper Paleolithic Period (circa 10,000 BC) and the earliest Neolithic phase (5500 B.C.). Bound in dark blue cloth lettered in gilt, spine lettering gilt, corners only slightly bent, a few faint scratches. A very nice copy.
