The first play "Apartments" does not have a title page, each play list how long the perfomance will last, the actors and actresses names and costumes, the dialect used, and more. Each play states the date and theatre it was first performed ranging from 1852-1865. Andrew Halliday was a Scottish journalist and dramatist who later joined Brough in writing and producing plays. He was a constant contributor to All the Year Round. A very nice collection bound in full dark brown pebble grained morocco decorated in blind. raised bands, lettering gilt, previous owner's presentation gift label. A very good copy.
