In 1647, he went to Paris and remained for twenty-four years in the service of the Duchesse de Montpensier. He translated Virgil and published Narratives and Portraits of Women of the Court, and others. A near fine copy bound in gold cloth, black spine label gilt, small sticker to rear paste down.
