One of the most elusive items in the true first edition. Only the previous owner's name on the front endpaper prevents us from labeling the book as a fine copy since there are no marks, wear or any problem whatsoever. The dust jacket has two closed tears and is protected in mylar.

Thick Quarto. 814(1)pp., photo-illustrated with pictures from all events showing teams and individuals along with some behind the scene shots, maps and various stadiums where events would be held, nicely bound for a committee member in full brown leather pictorially stamped in blind depicting a stadium, lettering stamped in gilt to upper board and spine, marbled endpapers, top edge gilt, earlier professional rebacking, wear and chipping to corner and bottom edge of rear board, otherwise a very good copy.
