Barnett, R.D.  A CATALOGUE OF THE NIMRUD IVORIES with Other Examples of Ancient Near Eastern Ivories in the British Museum. London: The Trustees of the British Museum, 1957. Quarto. 252pp., 132 pages illustrations, bound in 1/4 brown cloth over pale blue paper covered boards, spine lettering gilt, some toning to rear boards, with mylar cover with tape residue other wise a very good copy. A collection of Ivories found by Layard in 1848 housed in the British museum. Barnett, who joined the museum in 1932, found the collection to consist of a far greater importance than anyone outside the museum had imagined.

Folio.  xxii, 182p. 205 plates (including maps) 16 in full color, bound in 1/4 dark brown cloth over light orange cloth, spine lettering gilt, a bit of wear to corners. The Iraq Expedition just after World War II. A nice tight copy with no marks or underlining. Very Good.
